On a sunny Saturday afternoon, August 31, 2024, over 150 people gathered for Anton's funeral and celebration of life at St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church in Ottawa. The moving bilingual service led by the Reverend Canon Catherine Ascah included touching personal eulogies from Alain and Jon, Tony's brother. The church was filled with music deftly led and beautifully played by Tim Piper and after the final hymn, it was time to gather in the hall for some light refreshments, a slide show, mellow music and a chance to share memories and reflect on the ups and downs of life and relationships.
